Re: opposite day...
Are you betting the flop hoping to 3-bet, or calling a raise and CRing a nice looking turn card?
I rather bet the turn to give him a chance to raise with a weaker holding. I like the CR on the...

Flushes are overrated
I'm a limit player by trade, learning NL. Opponent is pretty loose passive. Is this fold silly?

Re: slowplay - yes? no?
i'd probably just bet/3-bet the flop and lead the turn even if opponent caps
if he caps the flop i put him on a very strong two pair/set hand/may be tptkish and i think they raise the turn here...

Re: slowplay - yes? no?
i change it up between bet/3-betting and cring a turn or cring the flop hoping to cap and betting out on the turn depending on how aggro i think opponent is

Re: auto call on river?
I like it, it was checked to him on the turn, I imagine most aggressive players bet any pair here or lots of draws.

Re: (.5/1) 6 max TPTK Flush draw.
your goal should be to get as many bets in the flop as possible if you have more than your fair share of pot equity, even if the difference is 1%
of course there are situations where you should...

Re: Calling down the fish
calling down is standard vs bad lag, the fact that the ace paired makes your hand look even better
i hate putting any bets in here out of position, you're just asking to get outplayed or putting 3...

Re: 99 in a pissing contest?
You lost way more than you needed to when he told you early he had a bigger overpair.
note - seriously consider folding the flop, remember it was capped preflop and this action still occured

Re: Yes/No?
Wut? You don't want to give KQ a chance to catch a pair?
I don't know why you want to pump the flop, only hands that are giving you action are big aces or two pair/set type hands and you get to...

Re: Calling down the fish
This hand is yucky.
If you're calling down at least CR flop/bet turn and give yourself a chance to do something and fold vs more resistance.
edit - i assumed he was loose passive or weak, also...

Re: Standard?
Meh, if his PFR > 20% you will see AK here never.
3-bet and watch him call/cap with any K, two pair, set, or lower straight.

I know, I 3-bet the flop too almost every time.
I was responding to your example of "The time to wait for the turn is when you can't protect your hand; ie if the raiser is just behind you. Then...

Re: Wait for it...
I'm not sure what you're getting at. If you can't protect your hand on the flop, you won't be able to do it on the turn either with the raiser's position in your example, thats when you shrug your...

Re: Wait for it...
They'll still be getting the odds on the turn, but the hero's equity will higher if a blank falls. Whether it's bigger enough on the turn to warrant waiting until popping it again is another matter.

That situation is much different. CO is trapping MP for an extra BB, plus he raised preflop. In fyodor's hand he is knocking out the button with the raise.
Since fyodor didn't specify if...

Re: calling this sexy now?
Yes, he'll value bet KQ/KJ but he is folding it to a CR.
I think you collect a bet ~100% if you just bet out from KQ/KJ. Check, and it risks being checked through. Check, and he bets, he folds...
