Re: Oregon / Portland Casinos?
As of today, the LaCenter card rooms are all non-smoking per the November election. (Hooray!!) The Last Frontier (adjunct to the New Phoenix) has 7 tables and excellent action. It's only 20 minutes...

Re: Concealed Handgun License??
I never said it was a malfunction. Never said it wasn't safe either. Glock owners swear by them as simple and very effective (and quite accurate) handguns. Many PD's carry them, although quite a few...

Re: Concealed Handgun License??
The guy probably had a Glock. They are notorious for discharging when holstered blind (without looking). "Glock leg" is the term for getting a bullet in your leg when holstering a loaded Glock. The...

Re: Concealed Handgun License??
Sorry, my stumbling way of agreeing with you. My bet is there are plenty of armed citizens carrying wads of cash and more than willing to protect their lives while playing in Nevada casinos.

Re: Concealed Handgun License??
It depends a little on the state, but in Oregon, the only place a person with a concealed handgun license CANNOT legally carry is in a federal facility, an airport, a courthouse or private property...

Concealed Handgun License??
After the shooting in Tahoe and the maniac who shot up the people in the Tacoma mall a couple of weeks ago, I got to wondering. How many poker players have a concealed handgun license and are...

Re: When do you look at your cards. And Why?
A guy who wears sunglasses doesn't necessarily slow down the table, unless he waits until it's his turn to act, slowly peeks at his cards..tic-tok tic-tock, looks up and stares down the opener...

Re: When do you look at your cards. And Why?
In low limit games, I think waiting to look at your cards until it is your turn is about equal to wearing sunglasses at the table. It is a "watch too much TV" action and slows the game down to an...

Re: Very taboo. What do I do?
I've seen this at the Bellagio too. The dealer said that to win the pot in a showdown, you have to show both cards. However, this situation was not at a showdown. The offending player pulled cards...

Re: Bellagio and Comps
Good idea on the food comp. I haven't tried the tip thing with them. I did do the tip when ordering thing with the waitress. Worked like a charm except when she forgot I tipped before hand. I jogged...

Re: Bellagio and Comps
The poker room rate is the best comp you can get at Bellagio. $129 weekdays and $199 weekends. Saves a ton over the rack rate and is better than any promotional rate they've offered. You can play and...

Re: Internet Switch? Please advise.
Should work without any problem. The switch is just a pass through. You can feed the switch from one of the 4 ports on your router to one of the 8 ports on the switch with a regular network cable. If...
