Re: Travelling to South America
bruiser-
Central/South America is such a wide range that I would think about what sort of stuff you want to be doing first and go from there.
Some suggestions:
1. I spent a month in...

1. What is going on in the second picture?
2. Math sux, I think strassa's river plan with his stronger hands is something along the lines of:
AQ or better: pot/call.
AJ/AT: pot/fold

Re: *RESULTS*
I think the main problem with bluffraising any 2 is that AT/AJ are about the only strong hands that could fold. Anything bigger, he has priced himself in to call, b/c at this point he is tied/ahead...

all-in abuse at the UB 50-100 (LC)
Title pretty much says it all, i don't think i have seen such obvious abuse at these stakes. Dunno if this is of interest, at the very least it is a HU for those of you who play the game.

damn, mark, so many responses and no one gave you a good answer (well, except for thabadguy).
You are asking a few different questions here.
The simplest one is the cost of a given mistake. ...

Re: Check behind on this flop?

This type of line usually means a monster or nothing. If villain is weak/straightforward, I will consider betting, but if he is tricky I definitely check.
Here, I lean toward...

Re: 5/10 6-max: Folding the nuts on the turn
Simple math problem.
Let's assume he always has a K.
You call and chop: you win $38.50.
You call, he hits, you pay off river: you lose $1090ish.
flush hits 9/44, so if he has the freeroll...

If you want to get all aggro here, just push the flop. He is gonna have JJ or thereabouts a lot, and if you are tight in general he will probably fold it (Sometimes he will...

Re: Go Broke w/ TPTK here?
These are weird bet sizes, villain is a donkey.
With these stacks, I probably call and check-call the rest on the turn. I think he is gonna bet it. If you c/r push the flop, he will fold most of...

Re: Under-full, too much action?
Everyone has missed a key point here.
Villain 2's play screams flush, he is LAG, and he has called off $880 so far.
If you are going to play, you MUST set villain 2 all in. You pretty much...

Re: Turn min-raises are the suck. 600 nl
Oh man, what a horrible line. Any of the following are better:
1. Raise flop, bet/raise whenever you get the chance.
2. Call flop, raise bigger on a blank turn.
3. Call flop, call blank...

Re: 10/20NL: Mistake gets QQ in trouble
I usually go for the "call and see what happens" play here. At this point you are getting 130:550 on your call, that is a pretty good price. Sometimes he is buying a free card with a draw,...

Hard to say what he is betting that he pays you off with, given his line. Q9 or T9, maybe? That is about it, and those hands might fold with the flush getting there. On the other hand,...

OK, so he is super tight-passive preflop, so there is a decent chance he has a set. But:
1. Your hand is toward the upper end of your hand range here. Villain could...

Re: 5-10 -- passive with an overpair

Re: Hand vs. Fsuplayer
1. I guess it's possible, but this seems like a strange line for a set/2 pair. So I put him on a flopped draw: spades (with or without the 7), 78, 45, or the tricky 75 double gutter.
I'm...

The players at these stakes scare easily- you are going to get a lot of overpair folds on the turn with this line. I like betting the flop and calling a raise, check-calling the turn, and leading...
