Re: Shortstacked with sooted connectors
I would've played this faster, either pushing preflop or calling the big blind. I think the min-raise is a mistake. If BB goes over the top, you're left with an unpleasant decision. Better to either...

Re: How do you play QQ in the 55s?
Right, I understand. I think I phrased my question badly. Basically, what I'm asking is if early in the game, I don't have much of a read on anyone yet, I raise a good bit with pocket queens and...

How do you play QQ in the 55s?
I've been trying my hand at the 55s lately. Overall it's going well, but I'm unsure how to play pocket queens. In the lower buyins, I could confidently call an all in bet with QQ knowing I was way...

Re: Reraise this river?
yeah, that's about what I figured. I was a little worried when the board paired but given the action postflop I figured a set was unlikely and my only real danger was to an ace high flush - which was...

Re: going to a B&M for the first time PLEASE HELP
I played live the first time about a week ago and was unsure about that kind of thing too. Until I loosened up and got to understand what was going on a bit more, I just kept my mouth shut and put...

Reraise this river?
First orbit at this table, so no reads yet. Was the river reraise ok?

Re: First hand, calling all in with QQ
Yeah, and that's part of my issue. I've been moving up the 1 table tournament stakes fairly quickly - my bankroll has been helped dramatically lately by a good mtt cash, ring games and a good run in...

First hand, calling all in with QQ
Party $50+5, first hand. I get QQ on the button. One limper in middle position. I raise to 125, BB goes all in, limper calls. If I assume these are typical loose party players and put them on a range...

Bubble push question
Should I have foled this with the UTG limper or was this an ok push? I'm 4 tabling, so no real reads on anyone.

Re: Can I get away from this set?
well yeah, I know. I'm not crying bad beat here. I'm just wondering if I made a bad move calling an all-in bet with the second best set from someone who had showed preflop aggression and then...

Can I get away from this set?
I played live for the first time tonight - 1/2 no limit holdem. Table is fairly LAGgish. Villian is very loose preflop and pretty aggressive. He's the big stack with about $1000 and is bullying the...

Re: Overlap (originally on BEGINNERS)
The basic skills you develop learning limit, like understanding outs, pot odds, etc. are invaluable. That said, SnGs play much different from typical limit ring games, and there's a lot to adjust to....

Re: Do You Call This on the River
My line would be to bet about half the pot on the flop and fold to a reraise. You don't have much of a hand, so I'd wait for a better spot.

Re: Another $%@* KK post
Definitely bet about half the pot. If the villian doesn't have an ace, it's likely he'll fold. In a low buyin, villian is probably calling down with any ace, so if he calls I go into check-fold mode.
