Re: Jacks Hand in WSOP 2003

Terrible replies except for the first one.

He didn't want to be called because he's only a slight favorite over hands like AK.

He didn't do it with 84 offsuit because if he is called then he's...

Re: Multitabling

Every decision you make has a much smaller consequnece than you think it does.

Re: Jackpot Jay\'s Prop Bet

One element of the bet that certainly helps Jay's chances:

Most of the pros arent trying to simply make the final table. You could easily have someone "pull an Ivey"... in other words, a pro that...

Re: Folding aces, preflop, in a cash game

Dude you can't actually be serious about folding Aces preflop in a cash game.

If all 9 people go all-in in front of me and I'm only a 14% favorite to win the pot I dont think twice before I throw...

Re: My Bustout Hand--Oh The Humanity!!

Its posts like these that make poker still profitable.

It is VERY clear that you should raise at least 6,600 preflop.

Here is a very simple concept that people still fail to understand.

Re: NFL Season Wins Thread

The Packers look 7-9 to me. Their defense stinks, Walker is in a contract squabble, and they only added a backup QB in the first round.

If T.Owens sits then the Falcons and the Panthers are the...

Re: A simple, yet complex situation IMHO

This is a very easy bet. checking is a huge mistake.

you have a weak made hand. your hand likely isnt gonna improve, but its probably the best right now

if you check the flop you are giving...

Re: Becoming a professional player

I don't think its dumb if you've already grounded yourself in life. For example have a steady relationship or wife, permanent living address, education, etc

However, if you're 21 years old, drink...

Re: Betting against your own team?

I know more about my home team than I do about any other team in the league or country.

Therefore, I will not hesitate to bet on or against my team if I see a value bet.

Just because I put...

Re: Steelers only 4 point favs over the Browns! Why?

7-1 and on the verge of a collapse. Two straight poor performances. The Ravens were w/o Heap, Ogden, and Lewis and they squeaked it out at home.

They have one of the worst (if not worst) run...

I just wanted to state that I was 100% from the line my senior year of high school prior to the state tournament where I promptly went 2-4.

Re: Exposing cards to gain information?

I believe that is now illegal.

There was a big issue about it because of a play a few years ago. I believe it was John Juanda but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Steelers only 4 point favs over the Browns! Why?

This is precisely why 90% of sports bettors are losers. They just take the teams that the media says are good i.e. Philadelphia.

The Steelers aren't facing the hapless Eagles this week, the...
