Re: J2s in the BB
i fold preflop, and if not for the backdoor flush draw, the flop to. Then lead the turn, because you'll get more callers due to the position of the likely bettor and should be afraid of it getting...

Re: KQs, top pair, big pot?
[ QUOTE ]
This is your game, your read, but it looks to me like you really overplayed this one.
Capping pre-flop seems excessive. If Villin isn't comatose he's not 3 betting an UTG raise with...

Re: Flush threat on turn, fairly common situation
TPTK is too strong to lay down in a multiway pot. I dont think you are calling toom uch on the river. It is possible he is raising with a big drawing hand on the turn, such as a pair and the K...

Re: QQ - proper wait to turn to raise or not?
I don't know if anybody else noticed this - but isn't this kind of in between the two examples from ssh on overpairs. Its different because you're out of position, but I think you have to push yuor...

Re: Different Line for AA
Congratulations that your line worked, but I'd probably just bet it though. You can probably get an overcall from a Q, making you 2 BB on the river. If you check-raise and its the last action who...

Some perspective here:
With 88 in that situation, the difference in expectation between 3-betting, calling, and folding is very low for all 3 options.

Re: KQo...i thought it was interesting...
I dont like the river bet. its definately not a value bet, and i don't think you'll get him off many hands after you checked the turn behind him. I hope you were prepared to fold the turn to a bet.

Re: Trusting reads after a PF 3 bet
By checking the turn when the king falls you decide to forfeit the pot. I think you have to bet there and fold to a raise. Is TT or 99 out of the question? If he had QQ-AA he probably would have...

Re: 3/6 TT hand
The advantage of 3-betting preflop is when you lead the flop when the ace hits, he'll probably fold any hand with no ace. If he calls, you can check/fold the turn UI.
