Mark Brunell one of the top 5 QBs?
 

A friend of mine suggested that he would have a difficult time putting 5 QBs ahead of Burnell. Granted this person is a die hard Skins fan, and like most Skins fans he lacks common football sense/knowledge. After thinking about what he said for a few minutes I told him that I have him ranked between 12th-14th. He told me that I was crazy.

Now granted Burnell has had a great start this year and has thrown 12 TDs and 2 INTs (it does help the stats playing the 49ers and the Chiefs). Stats are not everything and I was curious on what other people thought about Burnell and how they would rank him.

Any thoughts or comments?

I think 12-14th is just about right. A case can be made that he is top 5 in the NFC right now, but not in the all of the NFL. There are probably about 6 or 7 QB's in the AFC alone that I rank above Brunell.

(Disclaimer: This is just a random list that popped in my head of QBs I think are better than Brunell. In no way are they in any order or do I think they are the top 5 QBs so please don't try and start anything.)

People seriously underestimate the run he had in the mid-late 90's, but now, no.

Right now, this season, he is one of the top 5 or 6 QBs in the league.

these 10 QBs I think are easily better then Brunell

Manning (s), Brady, Plummer, Palmer, Hasselback, Brees, Mcnabb, Vick, Roethlisberger.

these are in no particular order and this list has nothing to do with fantasy football values.

Fantasy-wise I agree with this statement. But in real life he doesn't even belong in the top 10. Top 12/15 most most definitely.

He's probably been one of the ten most valuable. The spread between 10 and 15 isn't all that large.
