Brief AC trip report
I took the bus down to AC on Wednesday AM and played for about 6 and a half hours at the Tropicana, 2/4 HE. Here's my trip report: Those are some TERRIBLE players. (I had never played in AC before) Wow, the game was looser and more passive than Party Poker 2/4. Often 7-8 to the flop.
You pretty much had to hit your hand to win, bluffing was not an option to get people to fold. I won a nice amount just being patient as I hit several good hands with nice big pots. I couldn't believe it. |

Re: Brief AC trip report
I'll be in NYC to visit family in a couple of weeks. Did you take the bus from the Port Authority? If so, what kind of trip is it...a hour and a half or so? Also, someone mentioned Foxwood as another destination.
Any info would be helpful. Thanks |

Re: Brief AC trip report
I didn't take the bus from Port Authority this time but I have in the past. It's a really good deal. Departures almost every hour and pretty cheap (I can't recall the exact fare) and the ride is about 2 and a half hours or so. I'd definitly reccomend it.

Re: Brief AC trip report
Here's the link to the Port Autority bus to AC. I take it a couple of times a month, getting on at the stop it makes in NJ. These are decent commuter buses, but not charter bus quality. You can take any of the return buses you want. You aren't locked into returning on the same bus that brings you down.
One caution - sometimes scheduled return buses fail to show, or are full. Then, you have to march to a different casino to get a different bus. This has happened to me about 10% of the time. http://www.academybus.com/ |
