Default Where do you stand?

The next few months will be rather ugly as far as politics go - even uglier than it currently is. Nothing new, politics have always been an ugly game. It'll be interesting for sure.

Just wondering where the majority of gamblers reading this forum are as far as political affiliation. It certainly appears that the left may be dominant, but many folks lurk and don't post. So...an anonymous poll.

I left the "None of the Above" option out on purpose - too easy to say "None, I'm a Centrist" or "None, I'm a Moderate". There will be no serious Centrist Party or Moderate Party candidate on the ballot in November. You simply have to choose one of the two dominant parties or cast a protest vote for some other guy with absolutly no chance of ever winning, which is your right of course - go for it.

I guess I could have included "Obscure Party With No Chance of Ever Winning An Election" as an option, but I thought "Wacko" covered that pretty well.

your question was "which party do you lean torwards", not which parties candidate are you going to vote for. You may be surprised to find that many of the people on here are independant/libertarians. So you should have included the none of the above button.

I guess I coulda made the poll question a bit more clear - too late to edit now. The results will still be interesting.

The vast majority will vote here for the party they will vote for (and therefore "lean" toward) in November, which was the point of the poll.

You seem to be of the opinion that anybody who isn't a democrat or republican is either a "wacko" or politically illiterate.

If want a good look at a political illiterate, go look in mirror.

Was the personal attack really necessary? I assume this was sarcasm. Or can you not complete a simple sentence?

Yes, I think the majority of Green Party, Socialist, Anarchist, and other radical fringe groups are pretty "wacky". They're fun to listen to though...they make me laugh.

I thought the word "Illiterate" was pretty much tied to one meaning. Maybe politaclly ignorant would be better.

Discussion is always a good thing, but it was more of a curiosity thing. There are lots of lurkers who don't post so I was wondering where the readers stand as whole, as opposed to just the usual list of posters.
