Default G-Mail Anyone?

Hi, I'm not sure if this message is appropriate for this forum, so I apologize in advance if it isn't.

I have been asking everyone I know to help me get G-Mail (Google's free e-mail service). If anyone knows of how to approach this situation, I would appreciate it very much. If you'd prefer to PM me, of course that'd be great.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Best,
Al

Is Gmail still going to read all the email in your inbox and make ads that are specific to you? If it does, where can I sign up!!!

Lol yeah... I know this is a distinct possibility, but hey, if G-mail works out the legal/privacy issue kinks, and is as functional as I've read about, I'd like to get the username I want for it.

Best,
Al

I would much rather have targeted banners then the crap they put on hotmail. When I check my email at work it looks like Im surfing for porn (I only do that at home) with all the Single? Date people in your area? banners.

If they want to target market poker stuff or sports memrobilia or movies to me, more power to them, I might even find something I want or need.

Google uses text ads on their main site.
I have a GMail account and there are no ads (yet) but I don't think Google would all of a sudden convert to image ads when their text ads work so well.

I have run out of invites! Thanks for the requests, folks, but I can't accommodate any more of them.
