small A in LP

loose passive game, however players will bet draws and middle pair on the flop. For awhile I was playing small Aces (offsuit) on the button if many (7 or more) players were in already. However, I recently decided that since their bet could mean almost anything, I didn't have enough info to play my small ace well. Additionally, if I raise they will generally only call with a hand as good as AK, so I still dont know if my A is good. Opinions?
