Default Irish Players

I read an article on poker in Ireland etc., and it was saying how the Irish are considered good aggressive poker players. What is the international view on this, if any? They mentioned "Irish position", which is using EP to bet hard. Is this a popular phrase?
Any comments overall on Irish poker players?
Thanks

Well, we've seen that I like to check/raise or raise from EP with silly things or for silly reasons, but I always figured it was just me being LAG, not genetic!

Good to know.

Yeah I stacked one in a 500 Max buy in NL game when he called all my very large bets when i had KK with KJo for nothing but a gutshot str8 draw. Pot was 1260 cause i caught a pro in between in the whipsaw baby.

I gotta move to Ireland.
