KQs, river decision
UTG and UTG+2 are both playing about 50% of their hands, but beyond that I don't have a read.
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 1 fold, UTG+2 calls, 5 folds, SB completes, Hero raises, UTG calls, UTG+2 calls, SB calls. Re: KQs, river decision
No, UTG shows A5h. I was thinking I missed something that would have saved me 2 bets, but looking at the post, I think I'd play it the same way over and over again, and expect to be shown a straight or a set often enough to make it worthwhile.

Re: KQs, river decision
or a lower flush
I've only lost with a 2-card king-high flush to an ace-high flush once before. it's not something you can really guard against. if he went all-in I'd still call |

You are forgetting about the times you'll be shown top pair. Peace, Joe Tall |

Could someone explain the flop 3-bet to me?

Could someone explain the flop 3-bet to me? [/ QUOTE ] Hero had 9 outs to the flush and 6 overcard outs for a total of 15 outs. He is a favorite to make a hand by the river, so 3 betting is for pure value. |

Re: KQs, river decision
he has (technically he didn't have the outs, because the Ax [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] was out, but the majority of the time his flush outs are good) a million outs. that's why.

Re: KQs, river decision
I'm sorry, I should have been more clear about my question. I know he has a boatload of outs, and it ended up working beautifully, but wouldn't you be worried about losing the guy stuck in the middle of the raising war? Also, if he just called, wouldn't that be setting up a nice check-raise on the turn when he hits one of his outs?
