Where to stay and play in Atlantic City?

I've never been to AC and am planning a trip for the end of august. Just curious where the best places to play are, and where to stay. Keep in mind im a 21 year old college student looking to play cards during the day and party all night. Probably work in some beach time as well, maybe a little golf. Anyway, if anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.
