Learning a Language

I just got a language CD for learning Thai. Do you think it is a good idea to play it while I sleep. It seems languages are sort of a subconscious thing, and this would be a good way to go about it. I was thinking of listening to it this way the first time i play the CD.

Any linguists out there?
