Default Effects of Iraq foriegn policy

Do those of us who supported and continue to support the US action in Iraq now have an obligation to free people in countries such as Iran and Sudan. What I mean is if bringing freedom to a tortured people under a brutal dictator is enough to justify military action wouldn't it be "unjust" and perhaps immoral to not help as many people as possible. Note I am not saying i would be against this, I'm not sure, but shouldn't this be a debate our leaders should be having. Instead of the "how can we each state the same Iraq policy differently" which is currently going on.
