The good thing is that he is eliminated for the Big Dance on Day1. The rest remains to be seen. However, he has had multiple top 5 finishes in the last year, one first place finish in this years WSOP. Although he is an arrogant MF, he appears to have good poker instincts.

Everybody who's actually played with Antonio (as opposed to saw him on TV and made assumptions) has said he's a very nice person.

Make that..... but Im kinda pissed that such an apparently arrogant prick could possibly be the future of poker

Maybe Im just overly humble, But I think the way Howard Lederer, Kathy Liebert, Chris Moneymaker, Robert Varkonyi, Chris Kargulian (sp) etc. accept their wins is much nicer, and far less offensive. When an opponent loses they dont need to see some (apparent)A-hole doing a dance, they feel bad enough.

......and no Ive never lost a hand to him

This is a great point. It could also be used to justify the murder of the poor by the rich.

LOL. I don't mind Phil's antics - even though he is a bit full of himself, at least he doesn't shove it in an opponent's face with some gay arm wave gesture when he wins a pot against someone. I've read that Antonio is a nice guy in multiple places, so it must be true. But his personality on tv makes him look like an ass. Would this guy be so popular if he weren't "The Magician"? Would they have him fronting as one of the WPT celebrities and filming commercials? I don't think so. Phil Ivey is a far better player, yet gets nowhere near the publicity that Antonio does because he's just too quiet and not flamboyant enough.

Anyway, glad this ass is gone and that we won't be seeing the stupid wave on ESPN in a couple months.
