Re: 2004 payouts
1st
tourney pay out structures need a change especially for large tourneys like this one. for you to play for 5 days just to break even is ridiculous. take the 181-235 and spread that money around to make it worth while. When they say congrats you all have made the money the first person out should get 20k. 2nd Its 2600 X $9400= which should come out to be 6.11 million at 25% for 5 million its like 20.5 % |

Re: 2004 payouts
I agree, that's a ton of work to just break even...

Re: 2004 payouts
A lot of the players (more than 50 %?) qualified through a satellite, and for them, finishing in 181st-235th is not "breaking even". They never had the $10,000 entrance fee in their pocket, so walking away with $10,000 is probably considered quite good by those players.
Will they play in hand-for-hand mode with 236 players left? That could take quite some time... Jonas |

Re: 2004 payouts
Is this the first time the bottom of the money has been just $10K? I seem to remember from past tournaments that the bottom has always been $15K.
Besides, all those $600 and $180 qualifiers from Stars sure aren't complaining... |
