Default New to SnG Guy - How much bankroll?

LL player here, but I think I'm gonna start playing No Limit Sit-n-Go's and maybe eventually 2-tables & tourneys down the line. My question is how much bankroll do I need to be safe? Looking for an answer like "You need 300BB for Limit".

Hey Wiggum,

Welcome over here. I migrated from microlimit as well.

Most would say you need enough bankroll to play 20 SNG's. So $222 for the 10+1's.

Good luck, and welcome to the fun.

Nick

Is there any advantage to playing the 10+1 as opposed to the 5+.50?

With Regards to the SnG bankroll i would say 20 times the entry fee as i believe someone said before me. There is no advantage to playing 5/.5 rather than 10/1. Look at the percentages they are asking for the entry fee. For a 10/1 game you are charged 10% to play in the game which is 1 dollar in a 5 dollar game it is again 10% which is 50 cents. Watch out for poker sites that charge 20% this is not good in my opinion. An example is party poker, for their Sng`s they have 10% fee on all games above 10/1 but the lowest Sng is a 5/1.m Now this in my opinion is to high the rake is 20% in this tourny and in my opinion is to high.
Maybe i sound like a tight fool but always look at the rake percentage.

Hope I helped

Well, there is the obvious advantage that if you are an equally winning player in both games, you will win money twice as fast per game.
