Default time to go long bonds..

there is no reason not to think interest rates will edge up over the next few years.

The only reason I can think of is that absolutely EVERYONE thinks so.

The economy might mix it up on us here. Although it is hard to believe that a deeply in debt government will do anything other than churn up a bunch of inflation so that the debt is cheaper to pay off.
