Re: What is the sales ratio between the advanced
Not a direct answer to your question, but:
HPFAP: Amazon.com Sales Rank: 125 SCSFAP: Amazon.com Sales Rank: 29,036 I also see HPFAP is #6 in Bermuda. Hmmm. --uuDevil |

Holdem book and the advanced stud book? [/ QUOTE ] Mason may be willing to discuss sales actual numbers, but a quick check of Amazon shows HEFAP is the 125th best selling book there, while 7SFAP ranks 29,036. The poker craze, as reflected in Amazon sales, is incredible. Super/System is currently ranked as #163 in sales on Amazon. Can you imagine how many people watched WPT, and WSOP on ESPN, then ordered that book, and might as well be reading a calculus text for all the good it does them? It's amazing what you can learn on Amazon. Here's a quote from the "Booklist" review of the Brat's book: "Hellmuth is to poker players what Tiger Woods is to golfers." Edit: You beat me by 2 minutes, you devil! |

Re: What is the sales ratio between the advanced
25-1 isn't surprising, I'd say the ratio of holdem games to the number of 7-card stud games on a given poker site is 25-1, no?
Although this isn't exactly a good measure, since i'd say 80% of all home games play No Limit Texas holdem, with the rest playing draw or some variant. Which makes you wonder why 2+2 hasn't published a no-limit cash game book (hint hint Mason) |

Re: What is the sales ratio between the advanced
I am sure where you are from that is true. However although holdem has gotten more popular in the New Hampshire region I would say there are still 5 stud games for every holdem game and there is a large population here on the east coast. As many as a third of the people at Foxwoods are from New York city and they all play stud.
