Posted (partially) tongue-in-cheek (my own cheek for those who wonder)

Men see marriage as a good because it leads to guaranteed sex (we are so naive).

Women see marriage as a good in and of itself.

To achieve the "good" gay men do not need to marry. To achieve the "good" gay women do.

I understand why a woman would want to be with a woman, but not why a man would want to be with a man.

Maybe lesbians are more common because it makes more sense.

Lesbians are at best 1/2 as common as gay men. Honest lesbians with the desire and confidence to marry may be more common, however.
