Default Accessing poker sites thru firewall

I saw this http tunneling tool: http://www.hopster.com/ . It supposedly works for connecting to IRC across a firewall.

Has anyone tried something similar to tunnel thru to a poker site?

This is the bit I love:

[ QUOTE ]

Hide your real IP address and protect yourself from nosy people and wannabe-hackers. With hopster, there's no way anyone will know where or who you are.

Note that it only hides you from wannabe-hackers not REAL hackers (noted misuse of the term "hacker").

Your firewall is there to protect you from hackers - that is its whole point. Bypassing your firewall constitutes a pretty major breach in security (unless you make a lot of other provisions).

If you are thinking of doing this at work - don't. You will lose your job.

If you are doing it at home then adjust your firewall to allow the ports used by whichever poker room you are using. This is not straightforward.
Or turn off you firewall altogether. Don't do this if you have sensitive information on your PC.
