Default Eric Lindros up for review

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, Hero calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB completes, BB checks.

I feel I was weak here by calling, should I have raised? Mp1/Mp2 are typical players. Not good and not crazy.

Flop: (5 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, BB folds, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, Hero raises, SB calls, MP1 calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks.

River: (5.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 5.50 BB
Main Pot: 5.50 BB, between MP1, Hero and SB. > Pot won by Hero (5.50 BB).

Results in white below:
MP1 shows 7h Kh (one pair, sevens).
Hero shows 8s 8d (flush, jack high).
SB shows 3c 9h (one pair, threes).
Outcome: Hero wins 5.50 BB.

I would probably raise pre-flop half the time, depending on the table.

I would have bet the turn. You are probably still best, and you need to charge them to see the river.

Calling preflop is fine. I would raise if most of the players behind are tight.

Bet the turn with overpair and inside straight draw plus flushdraw.

Checked to on the river you have to bet it. avoid showdown make them fold.

Call pre-flop. Let everyone in behind you who will make mistakes calling all the way to the river when you catch a set.

Flop: good raise: protect your hand.

Turn: They checked to you, bet and see if you can win it now, since you are vulnerable to diamonds. It's Party 2-4, so if you get check-raised, you're probably in deep trouble.

In general, people at 2-4 play so poorly post-flop that you have to let them pay at least 1 bet per round when you are likely ahead.

Did you fishnote SB by saying any two in SB and MP1 by saying any suited king?
