QQ being c/r on rivered backdoor flush board
I'm new at the table, it's Party AND on my laptop, so no notes,
The pot is protected, but the check-raiser is low stacked, and I sometimes see them do weird things. That and a big pot. Still a fold on the river? And my play until the river, no other way to play it right? Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed)converter Preflop: Hero is MP3 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I don't think I can fold that without a good read.

Re: QQ being c/r on rivered backdoor flush board
Isn´t flatcalling the flop and raising the turn superior to raising the flop, when he cant shut anyone out with the flop raise ?

Re: QQ being c/r on rivered backdoor flush board
The thought occured to me, but I thought that by raising the flop, I'm letting people know I have a good hand, and thus they may fold to my turn bet. I'm not expecting anyone to fold to my flop raise since they "already have one bet in there", but that's often true for the turn as well. Assuming the flop bettor bets again, which he might not do. In that case, waiting is clearly superior, especially since someone closer to my right might bet, enabling me to make most players face 2 bets instead of one. That would be nice. Not too unlikely either since the flop bettor might bet a draw, trapping everyone in between, and then check the turn. That's maybe giving him too much credit, but the possibility adds even more to the call the flop and raise the turn. Hmm... I'm off.
