Default A Hand in the Insane Asylum

This was my third or fourth hand at the table. The previous three had been capped preflop between 3 or more players, whom appeared to be overly aggressive. The two villans in the following hand happened to be in many of those capped pots.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Hero raises, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 3-bets, Hero caps, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (13.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 bets, UTG+2 raises, Hero calls, UTG+1 3-bets, UTG+2 caps, Hero folds, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (11.75 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 bets, UTG+1 calls.

River: (13.75 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 bets, UTG+1 folds.

Final Pot: 14.75 BB
Main Pot: 13.75 BB, won by UTG+2.
Pot 2: 1 BB, overbet by UTG+2.

Results in white below:
UTG+2 doesn't show.
Outcome: UTG+2 wins 14.75 BB.

Does anyone not lay it down here? My cold call of the 2 bets on the flop was poor indeed, but I was hoping for a call out of the UTG+1 so I could call the maniac down...

I would have 3 bet the flop. You say they're overly aggressive, they don't need to have a jack here.

You should be 3-betting the flop here. This is where you were got lost in this hand.

Putting him on a Jack is weak. Mostlikely a weaker Ace.

Peace,

Maybe this explains why I'm not a rich millionaire poker player, but I 3 bet the flop.

I hadn't read the posts of the esteemed JoeTall and Tosh before I replied, but now that I have I feel all warm inside. Maybe I'm not insane after all.
