Too aggressive given the straight-ish nature of the board? I thought I might be able to buy a free card at least.

I take the free card. I hate taking the free card. It screams "I have unpaired overcards, congratulation you win", but clearly I can't bluff them off with BB 3-betting. I suspect check-raise and I might be drawing dead anyway.

Hand 1:
At 3/6 a raise to get a free card doesn't work very often. The rest of the hand was fine.

Hand 2:
People love to cold call with pocket pairs or Axs or paint cards. When they both call the flop I'm done with this had when I don't improve. When the turn isn't a scary card they won't fold on the turn either. I don't think the bluff is terrible though, it just doesn't work often enough with a cold caller behind you.
