Couple Questions, Online Help

Hey everyone. I have been reading the boards for a bit and finally have signed up to take part in discussions.

I am used to playing lower limits in Southern California casinos, I take constructive criticism well, and I want to become a better poker player.

My first question is to ask what is UTG and LAG? I have a guess on the meanings but what do they stand for?

Second, any advice in starting online play? Anything would be appreciated.
