Default Odds of flopping 2Pair or better holding two different ranks.

Hi

Anyone know the odds of flopping 2Pair or better holding two different ranks.

Fx. XY. Flop: XXX,YYY,XXY,YYX,XXa,YYa,XYa.

Another question:

Say you are holding A8 in NL. Someone raise from EP. What are the odds flopping A8x,88x if he holds an Ace and a card that isnt an 8 ?

Default Re: Odds of flopping 2Pair or better holding two different ranks.

Given starting hole cards X and Y where X > Y:

2 Pair using both hole cards:
Flops of XYa = 3*3*44 = 396
(a not X or Y)

Trips (using one hole card):
Flops of XXa = ((3*2)/2)*44 = 132
Flops of YYa = ((3*2)/2)*44 = 132

Full House:
Flops of XXY = ((3*2)/2)*3 = 9 (Nut)
Flops of XYY = ((3*2)/2)*3 = 9 (Non-nut)

Quads:
Flops of XXX = 1
Flops of YYY = 1

Total # of possible flops = 19,600
Total # of flops 2 pair or better = 680
Probability = 680/19,600 = 3.47%
