moneymaker public appearance

amazing what you see on late-night tv.

as i was channel surfing and wrapping up my poker evening/morning (4:30 am)....


a local channel that has some talk-radio station on while various slide-advertisements appoear on screen (mostly real-estate agents, etc).

just as i was passing the station i saw....

"You've seen him on ESPN. Now come meet him in person. World Series of Poker champion Chris Moneymaker will be appearing at the Grand Casino Poker Room (Tunica) May 7, 8 and 9.
Come meet and get your picture taken with the guy who won $2,500,000 at the WSOP"

the language is probably not exact because i'm going off memory. but it's pretty close.

kind of interesting considering he was in LV just a couple of days ago in the $5k NL tournament (or so i read)...so let the wild speculation begin.


one of the grand poker-room guys posts sometimes in the B&M forum but i have my doubts whether he would actually comment on this.

it's unlikely i'll be in the mood to head down to tunica to ask moneymaker myself



i will try to cross-post in the WPT forum also....but it seems 2+2 is acting especially slow tonight and i'm not sure i'll make it there.
