Default Sam B\'s second in chips in the $5,000 NL

Sam B, a.k.a. Salim Batshon, is #2 in chips going into the final table of the $5K buyin NLHE event, which should be underway. He is a great player, very well known at Lucky Chances and Artichoke Joes and worthy of a bracelet.

Good luck Sam!

Matt

I saw that. He drew a great seat also. chip leader is on his right and the other big stack is across the table. two short stacks to his immediate left.

He's the favorite in my book, especially considering his chip position and seat. The man is a devestating player.

It would be great to see Sam win. However, it's no cakewalk:

Thomas Keller $216,500 Chips. Seat 4. - strong online player, won Bellagio $2500 in Dec.

Martin Deknijff $177,000 Chips. Seat 10. - winner of Bellagio 25k (2.7M)

Eskimo Clark $109,500 Chips. Seat 3. - you've prob heard of him. Already has 2nd and 4th in $2500 and $5k events this year.

Dewey Tomko $37,000 Chips. Seat 2. - you know of him, I assume (though very few chips)

The others also have quite a few decent recent tourney finishes among them, so this could be a pretty tough lineup. With these players and the prizes increasing slowly up to 3rd, then a big jump to 2nd then 1st, I think this will be a really exciting final table to watch on ESPN.

"On the next hand Sam Batshon had the dominating hand this time. The best hand can't win three times in a row, can they? Not this time. Sam Batshon had A 8. Lee Watkinson called with the J 8 of Clubs. The Jack on the flop was enough. The eight on the turn was overkill. Sam B was 5th."
