Fairly sane 4-8 B&M. MP is aggressive and Button is solid, tight prop. I'm in BB w/ JJ. Haven't played much w/ MP but have seen him build and take a few huge pots w/ strong hands. Prop is very straightforward--will not chase w/o good odds.
MP limps, one other caller to button who raises. I 3-bet from BB. MP calls and button callls. 3 to flop for 3.5 BB. Flop: 3 8 9 rainbow I check, MP bets, Button calls, I raise, MP 3 bets, button folds, I call. HU on turn for 7 BB. Turn: T (3 8 9 ) four suits I check, MP bets, I call. To River for 9 BB. River 2 (T 3 8 9) I check, MP bets, I call. Seems as though I played this like a puss. Should I have raised somewhere along the line: A. Because my hand is best B. to find out if it is best (despite being out of position) If so where and what do I do to another three-bet? I hate to lay this down w/out a scarier board and hate to call more raises. |

I like betting out on the flop, he'll raise, and you 3 bet.
You just get more info that way generally. You did 3 bet preflop, so it may be easy for them to take a free card after you check. Otherwise, I think you played it ok. You could stand to put in another raise. Maybe leading out on the turn would be a decent plan. |
