Default Finding a tax accountant

Had a question for anyone. I am looking for a good tax accountant(in Los Angeles), preferably one that gives good tax advice concerning investing, etc. Do most tax accountants know how to minimize taxes on investing? Also, how would I find one that knows how to navigate around the tax code concerning gambling winnings? Any advice would be appreciated by this newbie to the investing/paying taxes on gambling winnings world.

What is the best way for finding a good tax accountant, the yellow pages? I have done my taxes before, but only for the past 3 years using Turbo Tax on the Web and a W-2, which makes for easy reporting. Thanks.
