How does one figure out ROI?

I have some tournament info here for just single table tournaments.

What is considered a good ROI when playing in SNG's at the $10-30 level?

These's tournaments above were a mix of 10's-50's SNG at pokerstars. All single table. I have different sats for heads up and 2 table SNG's.

ROI means "return on investment." Calculate it by dividing return (net winnings) by your investment (total buy-in+fees).

I think you can take it from there. This forum needs a FAQ.

I think the standard is 30-50% for very good players. Some prodigy's do better, but I'm sure it's rare long term. I think I've mastered the 10's by now, and still have a hard time doing much better than 30% (Joe average appears to be my destiny, but average still gets the money in these fish fests)

btw- We've played many times recently, I had no idea you were a 2+2er. Detroit transplant? I spent most of my life around the motor city.

I'm originally from Lansing, MI which makes me a Tigers fan by default(not such a bad thing to admit this year). I'll have to check my pokertracker stats to see how I've done against you. I'm just starting to play SNG's. I got a little bored with the grind of 2-4 and wanted to try something new. Although my sample is a bit low (80 tourneys), my current ROI is 32%. I would like to see that number grow a bit(I went thought a 13 tourney streak out of the money) but I figure it's a good start. BTW, thanks for you reply to my question.

Cool, I grew up in Monroe and spent my 20's downriver. Die hard Tigers fan(wings and liedowns too) Don't get to excited about this squad, they've got more holes than swiss cheese [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] It is nice to see them start well though, for a change. I'm a huge Pudge fan, but I'd have rather they signed a young star (tejada) than a catcher with a million miles on his knees

13 in a row is just brutal! I've played over 1000 and 8 is my worst slide (6 many times). 32% with that in the middle is pretty damned good. I wouldn't put much stock in #'s until you get at least 300 though.
