Default Very simple question: results ledger software?

I used to keep a notebook when I only played at the casino on weekends.

Now I play every night. Online. A lot of SnG's, some ring games, often 2 or 3 tables at once (and as I get used to it, I'll probably step up to 4 tables).

That's just too much math for a notebook.

Any suggestions?

(Did I just describe PokerTracker? I'm not even sure what that is. From what I've read here, that seems to focus more on studying hand histories for trends and tendancies. I just want to know my hourly rate, and how often I cash in the the $30 SnG's.)

Pokertracker does both. It gives you your win rate and you can use the hand history analysis if you wish.

In short it will be what you describe and more. Also it's free to try (you can import 1000 hands or some number of SNGs before you have to register) so you're getting infinite pot odds to download.

Default StatKing is far better than PokerTracker for this purpose!

ConJelCo sells it. Far more versatile and easy to use if what you want to do is record your results - plus it has extensive and very easy-to-use analysis features for bankroll requirements, standard deviation, whether you're a winning player based on results and number of hands played to date, etc.

Plus PokerTracker only handles online play to my knowledge, whereas StatKing handles everything.

I use PT mainly for hand analysis, but it would probably give you what you're looking for (plus a whole bunch more). If you have excel it's relatively easy to whip up your own custom spreasheet for tracking anything you want to track (which is what I do).

This is what I do, as well. At the end of each session, I just record the "Stat" screen from PartyPoker. Then I get nice linegraphs of my current bankroll and calculations of my total %SeeingFlop, %Won, etc.

I'm trying to switch to PokerTracker now, but I'm definitely still in the trial phase. PTracker seems like a more powerful tool, but the excel gives me pretty pictures of my bankroll. It's a choice each player must make on their own.

If you're interested in seeing my excel file (and using it as your own, if you'd like), I can post it here (if possible) or email it individuals.

That's all I want, a spreadsheet or database (I don't know how to tell the difference between the two, let alone how to create one).

Sam

One thing to be careful of with Party stats is the Showdowns won figure which is often inaccurate. It basically records a win if you receive any chips from the hand - so split pots and returned chips from overbetting the pot count as wins.

I had one session a few days ago where Party showed me as 100% of showdowns won. I was sure I hadn't won everything so I compared it to PokerTracker which showed the correct figure of 55%.
