SNG = sit n' go. The word comes from Pokerstars. In general it just means any tournament where there's no pre-registration. You just sit down and when all the seats are filled the tournament starts. |

Re: Newbie post
Check out the abbreviation section in the directory on the left hand side of the screen.
It should give you most of the main ones you need. Sheriff |

Some more definitions that are missing
I think these should definately be on that list:
CO = Cut off (player before the Button) UTG+1 = player after UTG EP = Early position MP = Mid position LP = Late position B&M = Bricks and Mortar Casino (real life game as opposed to online) SnG = Tournament where play starts when all the seats are filled (usually one or two table) The Zoo = The Internet Forum KotZ = King of the Zoo (big series of tournaments for posters on the internet forum) TPTK = Top pair top kicker RGP = Rec.Gambling.Poker newsgroup NLHE = No Limit Holdem PF = Pre flop PFR = pre flop raise and I am sure there are plenty more Anyone know how to get these added to the list?
