\"Typical\" hand ...Comments please?
Stars SitnGo blinds 10/20 I am chip leader with 1780
I'm dealt Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in LP. All fold to me and I open/raise for 120. CO calls and small blind calls. Flop 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB bets 20, I smooth call, CO raises to 100, SB calls the raise and I reraise al-in. CO and SB both fold and I collect T680. Comments Please? Thanks, Jonathan |

Re: \"Typical\" hand ...Comments please?
Well it worked out alright, I probably would have reraised he SB's 20. With the 89 you want to disrupt any odds for someone wanting to call to the straight. You're not shortstacked so you're better off winning outright and padding your lead then trying to build a pot and risk a hit unnecessarily.

Re: \"Typical\" hand ...Comments please?
I agree that you should have probably raised the 20, prob by about 300-400 ish (size of the pot), a lot of dangerous cards can come on turn that CO need only play 20 for that can hurt your hand. there's enough out there already to want to take it down without slow-playing

Re: \"Typical\" hand ...Comments please?
do you always raise preflop 6 times the blind, or just when you have a big pocket pair?
take the pot after the sb bets his T20, save yourself a tough decision later when the A hits. cheers! |
