Default Libertarian Purity Test

I came across this on the web. I scored as a soft-core libertarian. I don't like that. I don't want to be a soft-core anything.

Ha, medium core libertarian. And Andy thought I was extreme.

Great test.

I scored: Libertarian credentials are obvious. I just missed medium-core. But it does tell me that I will get more extreme as time goes on. So I got that goin for me. Which is nice.

Now that's a loaded question.

How can you guys be libertarian and still support president Bush? Most libertarians I know hate him (not that they loved Clinton, or any president really). I find it delightfully appropriate, how many poker players seem to be libertarian. I suppose it is a perfect fit. (BTW I'm apparently a soft-core libertarian)

I scored nearly perfect (135) which shouldn't be a great surprise. I also took the test based on what Rand would probably have answered and the score was 94, barely into the libertarian purity area. She did support very limited government. Murray Rothbard's picture was at the bottom. That is appropriate. He would probably have scored perfect as the test answers are in large part based on his views. I don't know enough about Friedman's views (although his son David would probably score 160) to take the test and try to figure out his answers.

All in all a fun exercise.

As did I. I disagree with the author's premise. Someone who achieves a perfect score is not a libertarian, he is an anarchist.

I myself scored soft-core.

Until I saw the pictures, I never knew Milton Friedman and Ayn Rand were not the same person.

Softcore here also. I don't see how anyone could "make" a perfect score based on the wording of some of the questions.
