Default AAAA vs random hand

What are the odds of AAAA standing up against a random hand in Omaha?

I'll bet that a random hand is about 45-50% against AA.

Oof, very bad bet, random hand is 73% favorite. Even AAA2s is an underdog (40:60) to a random hand.

Let me guess: the first answer you posted is for Omaha high
and the second is for O8! I think that AAAA is a slight
favorite in Omaha high versus a random hand and have run
through a few hands on twodimes.net.

Long ago, on Paradise Poker, killing time in $0.50-$1 O8,
I was dealt this very hand almost utg and raised just to
prove a point (someone queried why anyone would play quads
dealt in a hand!) and got heads up with the cold caller on
my immediate left. To make a long story short, the board
paired on sixes on the turn and the river brought three
hearts (two on the flop) with no low and my hand stood up!
Some interesting comments around the table followed, but I
was just curious to see if I could show down the hand as a
winner!

As for the original post, I am not going to guarantee an
answer to more than four significant figures, if any! Why
do 2+2ers have to torture us with such difficult questions
incessantly?

That number seems waaaay too high to me.

Omaha Hi: 500000 sampled boards
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As Ac Ad Ah 209523 41.90 290477 58.10 0 0.00 0.419
8s 7s 6h 5h 290477 58.10 209523 41.90 0 0.00 0.581

It seems to me thatt 8765 double suited would fare FAR better than a random hand against AAAA.

There's an error somewhere, twodimes gives (by simulation):

Omaha Hi: 500000 sampled boards
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As Ac Ad Ah 209933 41.99 290067 58.01 0 0.00 0.420
6s 5s 8c 7c 290067 58.01 209933 41.99 0 0.00 0.580

While PokerCalculator gives (by enumeration):

AsAcAdAh 24.58% 266954 819054 0
6s5s8c7c 75.42% 819054 266954 0

Perhaps someone can troubleshoot this: AAAA wins with
pair 241716
fullhouse 25238

It looks like it is missing all the 2pair vs one pair or lower 2pair hands.

Someone have a better simulator to recommend?

Craig
