Re: Fold to the river raise
[ QUOTE ]
River (7 1/4 BB): 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero bets, EP2 raises..... I should fold here, right? [/ QUOTE ] I would call. You're getting 10.25:1 to call. Though you described EP2 as loose, you didn't describe him as passive, which may tip this toward a fold. I'm calling here and expecting to lose; though I'm pretty sure you'll be pleasantly surprised more than the requisite 10% of the time needed to make this call profitable. In short: crying call. Anyone else? |

Re: Fold to the river raise
This may be one of those rare instances where a river check/call may be in order. A value bet is not automatic where there's an overcard, a 3-flush and a one-card straight draw. And you may even induce a bluff if you're ahead getting that one bet anyway. Regardless, you get to see a showdown with this play. And this would be especially true against a loose player who may very well show you a 5 in addition to spades.
