QQ in BB first hand
30 Limit Sit N Go on Party.
QQ in the BB, first hand. 5 players limp. SB completes the 2/3 blind. I raise, figuring that I want people to go the distance when I flop an overpair or a set. I wonder if this is a check, though. Thoughts? LP reraises. Now I figure I've got to cap. Everyone plays along. Flop comes A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I have no diamonds. I make a halfhearted bet out. One player folds. At this point, I figure I'm dead in the water, and there's no way I'm winning the pot without turning a Q. I check the turn, which is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. EP bets. Everyone calls. I fold. Thoughts? Anyway, river is a rag, EP checks, LP preflop reraiser bets, EP calls. LP reraiser has JJ, it's good. Grrrr.... Who folds the turn? Who checks out of the blind before the flop? scrub |

Re: QQ in BB first hand
Nobody raised you on the flop. You need to bet out on the turn.

Re: QQ in BB first hand
Certainly raise with QQ in the blinds.
I might bet the turn but with atleast 4 others in the pot I would figure I am looking to hit a 2 outer. I can't argue the fold. Best hand doesn't have to win everytime! Ken Poklitar |

Re: QQ in BB first hand
I would have bet out on the turn to see where I stood with my hand. You can always fold in the face of a reraise if you think someone has the ace. Just my thoughts on the particular hand.
