Default Question About Computer Viruses

I got some weird emails today that I later found out had virus attachments. I didn't download the attachments, but I did open the emails to read them. Am I in danger of getting a virus even though I didn't download the infected attachments? I'm a little weary of logging into Poker Sites and my Neteller account because of this.

Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Question About Computer Viruses

If the virus was in an attachment (an executable file) and you did not run it, you should be ok (there were some viruses that ran as macros in documents that could cause you problems just by opening them if you don't have the latest security updates). I would run a virus scanner on my system anyways, and make sure that you have the latest security updates for your OS.
