Default 6-12 AQ hand #1

3 AQ hands from Sunday which occurred within an hour of each other. All thoughts appreciated, particularly on hand 3 which I feel I misplayed.

Hand 1:

2nd to act with AhQd. I limp, 2 MP limpers and the button limp, SB (tight local) raises, BB (rational tourist) 3-bets, I fold.

Your play was consistent with itself: you made a "wait-and-see" call with a good hand in a bad situation, and when you DID see that you were clearly beat you folded. MAYBE you're up against AK and a pair of Jacks and have 3 Queens for outs. Well played. The ONLY redeaming part of this situation is that you have position on the probable better hands.

I had no regrets about the laydown, and I was in a horrible situation........

SB had AKs, BB had pocket QQ. Talk about domination.

I would have won since the board 4 flushed in the suit of my ace, but I can't imagine a much worse situation than that would have been.

Instead, QQ sucked out with Qh after AcKh8h flopped and running hearts came. SB was most displeased.
