Why fold the flop?

I'm getting 6:1 with 9 outs, and all kinds of implied odds.

I would fold the flop from early position to a SB bettor and 3 more players to act behind me. Small pairs with small kickers are awful hands. I wouldn't count the 3's as outs, the duece has a chance to split the pot or make a 6 high straight and your kicker with your pair of 4's stinks.

All that said, since you are in the hand, ya gotta raise the turn.

Good point, the 3's aren't the cleanest of outs. But let's say 6 outs--The call is still justified in terms of pot odds/implied odds, no...?

With people to act behind me, I could see a case made for not wanting to be raised behind me as a reason to fold. Thoughts?

I think you've got to fold here b/c while your hand does have potential, it also has to deal with opponents that have not yet acted. It might cost you too much to get to the turn. You can wait for a better spot to get cash in.

I would've folded to the flop bet, after that cap the river.
