Default Playing AK pre-flop when a TAP raises in front of you...

I am curious to your opinions of playing AK when a TAP player raises in front you.
If he open raised from MP or beyond I 3-bet.
If he raised from EP I call.

If there are limpers before him and i think i can get them to fold by a 3-bet, I'll do it.

But for the most part, I dont see much +EV in raising someone who you know has a hand better than yours.

I would 3 bet him from any position. A typical TAP would raise UTG with AA/KK/QQ/JJ/AK/AQ maybe TT/AJs and KQs. With position I like my chances against this range. If he caps the you can play accordingly.

You have it backwards:

In EP you should raise to clear the field behing you and it'll give you more information about TAP's hand.

In LP it can be prudent to just call. You are more likely to get the button and it'll disguise your hand which will be the best ag. a wide range of TAP MP openraises.

What if you're one of the blinds?
