Default the transition from UB to party

all of my online poker education has been at UB. i love UB, i moved to party for the reasons all of you play there(so i can complain about them a la gabbyyyy, of course).
but i am used to people having hands at showdowns, it seems at party, the limits i play 3/6 5/10, anything goes...this hand below almost made me ill by my weak play.

I am not so sure you are THAT weak here. If you don't have a read on RoterHund, I don't see folding as THAT bad. But, if you have no read, I might have gone ahead and looked him up on this hand.

Now that you have a read, if you are lucky enough to play with him again, let the tool impale himself

Yeah, that is kind of weak, but you'll get used to it.

Yeah, that was pretty damn weak. Just keep playing at Party and you'll get used to the more aggressive style of play soon enough. Then you'll probably come back and read this post and laugh at yourself for having folded.

I am starting to get the idea that Party is a group of chimps in a cage all throwing their chips around angrily at each other with no apparent logic (2+2'ers being excluded of coarse )...maybe my above post is wrong, if that is how party is.... i got to thinking (careful this is a rare occurance), yes it is party and yes there are more than average in craziness, but when any table is approached and you have no reads, it should be treated as normal game, firmly but cautiously till you get your grounding right??? in a game where you have two callers on a capped pre-flop, which then comes with an over card to your pair, and both call that bet, to then raise you on the turn......hmmmmmm, does that add at all to my defense, regardless of the playground you happen to be in?

damn, that is nuts. i have so many times even just tonight, felt that i have a 50/50 to slight edge or slight dog at showdown found myself to be so far ahead, it has been really baffling. is overplaying your hand heard of around those parts? it can't be good for your poker game to get used to these kind of game conditions, can it?

Just tonight at a 3/ 6 table ......5 way action capped preflop.....flop comes AK4 to my AK, three bet flop, turn a 6, two bet turn, river a 4, yep some idiot was playing a 9/4. Ya gotta love Party! Those guys are just babysitting our chips for us, we'll get them all back and then some in the long run.
