Default Stop \'n go and stop (KK in SB)

Good loose passive 2/4 online.

UTG, MP, CO and Button limps and I raise with KK from SB. BB (tight preflop, reasonable postflop) reraises, everybody but MP calls and I cap.

Flop: (5 players, 21 sb) T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I bet, BB raises, UTG folds, the other limpers call, I call.

Turn: (4 players, 14.5 bb) J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet, BB raises, CO fold, button calls and I call.

River: (3 players, 20.5 bb) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I check, BB bet, button folds, I call.

I don't think I've ever used this betting pattern before. Worth repeating?

Carlos

I don't think so - if you 3bet the flop and he doesn't cap, you can probably safely say you're ahead and extract the maximum on the turn and river. If you 3-bet and he caps, and you decide to call down, it costs you the same as this did.

I personally like it. You are leveraging the BB's hand and raise to protect your own hand. Confront everyone with 2BB on the turn to draw out on you. BB might be ahead of you here but if he is, I don't really see any spot where you can lay down.

This board really sucks -- you can only hope BB has QQ, an overplayed AdJd, or the other KK. But I don't think you can do anything else with it.
