Default What is a good BB/hr ratio?

I was just wondering what a good BB/hr ratio was? What ratio would you say is a mediocre player, a good player, great player, pro etc. I know it probably depends on the limit so lets say 5/10 limit hold em (online).

Thanks!

Even online, any rate of 1.0 BB per hour per table is good.
One could argue given the more hands per hour, an expert
would be able to extract more but it would depend on the
number of tables played, opponents (especially the site) and
whether it was short-handed. In short-handed play, an
expert should do slightly better than this, but anything
over 2.0 BB/table-hour will be unsustainable over a long
period of time (either the fish slowly disappear or after an
extended dry spell). For most players, to average 0.5 BB
per table-hour (over the course of 1000+ hours) is proabably
achievable but the point isn't one's hourly rate, the point
is how to play well! For anyone who does play well, 1.5
BB per hour is good even considering the current conditions!
Obviously for lower limits, the play can become abysmal and
hourly rates for those that specialize in those games can be
even higher! A very important factor for improving one's
hourly rate is game selection; having terrible opponents is
the major source of one's edge.

Keep in mind that poor players (considering there are a
plethora of them nowadays) can often run extremely well for
months and might even think they are pretty good, but if
they play long enough (give them two years!), they will have
a tough time staying above water! Also, most players aren't
that objective about their own hourly rates; I suspect for
those that do keep records, they will be surprised about
their own results after tracking 10000+ table-hours. Even
though that does sound like quite a lot, it is easily
achievable in less than two years for those that frequently
play two or more tables at a time.

The biggest plus for online poker (for winners, anyway!) is
the opportunity to play at multiple tables!

For me the win rate is as follows for all limits and the games 7 card stud, 7 stud hi low split, texas hold'em, and Omaha hi low split.
Big bets % of players seeing flop
0 45
1 52
2 58
3 65
4 71
5 78
6 84
The actual formula in the y=mx+b format is
Y=0.1531(x)-6.9059

The application involves:
1) Learning all games well.
2) Having an account on several sites.
3) Practicing game selection on an hourly basis.

Example:
You desire $30 per hour to play
Move from site to site multiplying the limit of the game by the number of BB/h you expect to win at that game and then chose that game. Each hour repeat picking the highest earning game or not playing at all if there are not that offer you that $30 per hour.

P.S. You will need to determine the slope of the curve emperically for yourself before you can know how much a game is worth to you.
