I don't play them ('cause I joined The Zoo after she passed away) but yesterday in a b&m tourney I had it in the small blind, called the big, 3 to the flop. Flop was As, 9s, 3s. (oh, baby!) Checked around. Ah on the turn. I bet, one raiser, I go all in and he called. "Granny Mae, baby!" I yelled as I exposed my hand. No-one there knows what that means, but I said it anyway. He had Ad Tc. Whatchathink hit the river? The Case Ace.

They add $200 each day to that tourney, as a start-of-day shootout thing. Great room, I'm friends with the manager. Can't win the tourney. Last week, got kk twice in a row, hit the final table in the lead, finished 4 spots from the cash. blehhh.

I love it when I get a Granny Mae. The only time I've lost with a Granny Mae is when I folded. Once was early on when I chickened out and folded. Turns out it woud have won. The other was when I accidentally folded under the gun (I normally raise with a GM no matter what). It was 100/9 and there were four the royal clubs. They showed down, and my Q would have hit the straight for the win.

It's been quite profitable, but it's really starting to freak me out.

but i'm not really so exciting that anyone shouldbe interested in tracking down my identity...unless, of course, you consider this whole granny-mae run that i'm on to be especially exciting.
