Party and Paradise
It's suprising how fast Paradise Poker has declined. It has lost all its traffic to Party. It seems everyone is playing at Party now. I bet the owners of Paradise Poker is pissed because their golden goose is getting slaughtered...

Re: Party and Paradise
They deserve what happens to them. They have year after year refused to listen to the players. Even today, as they are running their 20.000$ guaranteed multi tourney, they have 10 minutes levels. A tournament with a 1st prize of 10.000$ and 10 minutes levels! After only 2 hours, the felt is down to 100 players from 1500 starting. they could just as well sell lottery tickets., but no, they know better. I wonder how soon they will be closing the agonizing business?

Re: Party and Paradise
PartyPoker didn't take the traffic away from Paradise. Rather PartyPoker, PokerStars, UltimateBet and Ladbrokes have dramatically increased the size of the online poker market by a factor of about 6 times in 2003. Last I heard, Paradise is about the same size, maybe down a bit but really nothing compared to the amounts PartyPoker and others have grown.
Paradise may even be going into a revival with their launch of multi-table tournaments. We'll see what 2004 brings!! |

Right now there's only 2 20/40, 0 15/30, no full 10/20, 2 full 5/10 going at Paradise right now, so I'm sure Paradise has lost some players, and most likely to Party Poker. |
